The S-mount lenses have a thread of M12 x 0.5 mm. They are often referred to as M12 or simply as board or S-mount lenses. They are usually used with board cameras. With an appropriate adapter they can also be used with a C-mount camera. The S-mounts are available in telecentric, low-distortion versions or with high light sensitivity.
